Barbour Polarquilt jacket

this is new for the 2011 barbour range, its my first own barbour since i was a little girl when they were cheaper. Now i know ive been a bit harsh on barbour in the past, because i never really saw anything i liked in the range and compared to the quality of my other 2 quilteds from next, they werent even on par and cost double the amount.
However.
I went to a garden centre earlier today and noticed they had quite a large barbour range, so, keeping up to date i had a browse and ive ended up returning with both a lambswool scarf for my boyfriend which was priced at £21.99 and my own barbour jacket, £99.95, Polarquilt.
The difference with this jacket? it has a fantastic fleece inner and a zip. its lightweight, feels lovely (rather than like plastic) its got a lovely matte finish aswell so it doesnt look super shiny and tacky in the light.
Its cheaper than all oft he other barbour jackets in the range too, apart from the bog standard quilted jacket that only has popper buttons and feels like youre wearing a bag. being honest.
This is the Navy colour. believe me, it does look black, but apparently its navy. it does say this on the barbour by mail website too so dont be completely fooled :)

The scarf is made of 100% lambswool, and unlike some itchy scarves, this one does nothing of the sort. Now, i know buying a guy a scarf doesnt seem amazing, but believe me, he steals my other scarves far too often so this might just solve the issue. arent i just great? <3

looks like im all set for winter anyway! its a fantasic jacket, and comes in navy or olive, however much
the navy is more practical :)

♥ Chelsea Boots? Buy Riding Boots! ♥

Alright guys, ive noticed chelsea boots coming back onto the market once again and ive noticed the prices for these types of boots are absolutely extortionate!. So i figured, why not let you guys know a little secret.... this example from topshop:

The Ultimate Chelsea Boots £62.00

Now, my boyfriend of all people made me realise these are the fashion option, i didnt know they were even called chelsea boots until recent. As far as I'm concerned, these are jodhpur boots that us horse riders wear everyday to ride and muck out stables!
So, whats my point?  These topshop boots are £62 right?
Well. Believe me you can get them a whole bunch cheaper than these, with better soles, harder material and actually made of leather!
Go to a saddlery!

Let me show you these from an online trustworthy saddlery, this place has sales all the time, stores up and down the UK and has the largest range unless you go to the actual brands.
These are their own brand Boots:
£23.00              Link

Believe me when i say. Equestrian boots will be by far better quality and better for the money, and in most cases cheaper. Shop around first!
some other well known equestrian brands are: Ariat, Shires, Rambo, Horsewear, Dubarry and hunter.

Im not as luck as some, i live on an estate, there isnt so much scenery, and i have to self take the photos! hopefully i will get this changed soon though :) i may need to let the boyfriend use the camera for once....
Enjoy!

♥ Living Like A Bear ♥

One of my very favourite looks for fall, my knitted cape with the only hat that suits me! apart from my panda hat.
the amount of people who talk about me in this hat is stupidly incredible! ive been out shopping, people have looked at me, ive heard them talking, stopped me and one chinese girl even asked for a picture and repeated Kawaii about ten times…. the bear hat effect ;)
:) so it will ABSOLUTELY be out again this A/W!

Most adorable River Island Cosy Jumper Ever!

Well if this isnt just one of the most adorable jumpers around i dont know what is. I was instantly drawn to the colours, the little hedgehogs and the hearts. If youve also been following the A/W developments of our most loved high street brands youll know that jumpers in pastel and natural tones, with animal prints and cute girliness are this seasons hottest in the knitwear department.
As im not one to really splash out on one piece in particular, this effort from river islands Chelsea girl collection has gone down a treat for me.
Cant wait to see it instore and see what the fabrics are like!

It's getting darker at night and chillier by the morning

Surely this can only mean one thing? we are finally getting into my favourite part of the year, autumn and winter. If you have followed my other blog previously, (minimakeup) you will know i started to get more into fashion, so ive remade a blog especially, and i recently made a post about my predictions for this years A/W style.
MiniMakeup Blog

Well, my prediction still stands completely, however for a first post id love to share with you some items ive recently found which completely correspond with the predictions however they are what i personally would LOVE to see more of. Country Style!
as ive always been a horse girl, ive lived around the country for half my life, so really, country style is what i wear the most out of anything, but making the most of this is a pain in the backside when it comes to the summer! All the clothes i have are too warm to wear, and only look amazing layered.
So A/W is the best time to make the most of the warm country feel, polos, quilted coats, chunky wellies, faux fur and flat peak caps.
Lately ive noticed a few equestrian only brands going huge since last year, Barbour was a main brand but others such as tottie and Joules have come onto the fashion scene, and this year theyve got some great pieces in store.

Joules Mallard Jumper, in either Duck, Rabbit or Patch:  (duck shown)  £69.95
Joules Moredale Jacket (similar to barbour, comes in 4 colours - Mulled wine shown) £84.95
Joules Wellies (comes in colours and prints) £36.95
Barbour Classic Womens and Mens Quilted Jackets (prices start from around £80 upwards)

Rydale Tweed Belton Gilet £40

Joules Larcombe Military Polo shirt £79.95
